Gender & Sexuality Services - Dedicated to promoting healthy, engaged, successful LGBT students and allies. Gender & Sexuality Services provides a safe space, resources, and educational opportunities to advocate for an inclusive community. Military and Veteran Student Services - Our role is to support military members, veterans, and their families at UNI as they transition between military duty, college, and new careers. We are committed to faculty and staff education, on and off campus resource networking, advocacy, and listening to each student to ensure that each military affiliated students' voice is heard and they are empowered to achieve success in class and beyond. Office of Compliance and Equity Management - The Office of Compliance and Equity Management (OCEM) oversees specific University policies that protects faculty, staff, and student rights against discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. The Office of Compliance and Equity Management serves faculty, staff, and students to promote a safe campus community through training, education, and prevention work. Individuals who have experienced discrimination or harassment can work with the OCEM to explore resources and reporting options. Dean of Students - Assists students of concern and student conduct. Student Success and Retention - Supports new students through orientation and transition programs such as UNI Now, Jump Start and Welcome Week. Supports current students through programs such as Early Intervention, Success Coaching, Peer Mentoring and DACA Resources. Student Accessibility Services - Student Accessibility Services (SAS) views disabilities as an integral part of the rich diversity at the University of Northern Iowa. To that end, we work collaboratively with students, faculty and staff to create an accessible educational environment for students. Panther Pantry - The purpose of the Panther Pantry is to ensure that UNI students are able to get their basic food and necessity needs met. We recognize that in order to succeed in the classroom, and here at UNI, students need to have access to food.
